He stared into her clear blue eyes. He could deny her nothing, but he was surprised she wanted to do anything for him. He nodded.
She closed her eyes, and a strange silver light formed at their joined hands, then washed through him. The pain washed away with it. All the pain. The heartache. And for a moment, he belonged.
