“We have four magic lessons a day,” Rivian told Kieran. “Light lessons in the morning and again in the evening after the sun goes down. We learn to use the magic with and without the sun. Same with dark lessons. But those are a lot harder.”
His twin who was a dark mage with a streak of light magic rolled his eyes. “The dark magic lessons get even harder after you leave.”
Rivian shrugged. “We also take lessons with Uncle Francis three times a week to learn light battle magic. All except Helena. She gets extra lessons with Mother during that time. She also doesn’t take dark magic lessons.”
