Eli was terrible with the daggers, but he’d set his mind to getting better.
And he was. He was also learning so many other things.
To see threats he’d never noticed. To hear whispers he’d never heard. To disappear when he wished it.
The training focused his mind, sharpened his senses, and gave him a purpose.
The next time someone he loved needed him, he would be ready.
